Mountains, Wild Animals, and Breathtaking Views
We kick off the day in style with a ride on the cable car up to Wielka Czantoria. The ascent itself is an attraction: with every minute, ever-wider vistas of the Silesian Beskids and surrounding valleys unfold before you. Once at the top, there’s time for a short ridge walk, chilling with the view, or climbing the observation tower. The panorama? Simply wow. The perfect spot for photos—and a moment of silence.
Next: a stroll and a coffee overlooking the mountains. For the more adventurous, a gentle trek down from the summit; for the rest, a cable-car descent back to town and coffee in one of Ustroń’s cozy cafés. No one’s in a hurry—it’s all about savoring the moment, the fresh air, and good company.
In the afternoon, we visit the Forest of Surprises Park—but this isn’t an ordinary zoo. Here you’re truly in the woods, where fallow deer, roe deer, and mouflon roam freely. You can even reach out and pet them. Along the way, there are birds-of-prey demonstrations, educational paths, hidden sculptures, and a woodland chill-out that delights even those who aren’t animal-lovers.
For lunch, we stop at a local mountain inn. Simple, well-seasoned dishes—highlander flavors, local beer, perhaps a bowl of sauerkraut soup (kwaśnica) or potato pancakes “po zbójnicku.”
It’s only one day—but it’s packed with great emotions, fresh air, and stories you’ll be retelling around the table for a long time.
