Sunrise Breakfast on Malinowska Rock – Szczyrk

There are moments in life that feel absolutely extraordinary. When the sky first glows deep indigo, then softens to pink until the sun slowly emerges above the horizon—and you’re standing on the summit in silence, holding a warm cup of coffee, gazing at a view that’s hard to put into words.

That’s exactly what dawn on Malinowska Rock is like. One of the most beautiful vantage points in the Silesian Beskids: rugged stone formations against a pastel sky, the morning chill, and a gentle breeze. And then… breakfast that tastes like a reward for everything you’ve done.

We set off early—before dawn, with headlamps and thermoses. A short, peaceful trek along forest trails: sometimes in silence, sometimes in conversation, but always with the sense that you’re part of something special. When we reach the top, we witness nature’s grand performance. No crowds, no noise—just the colors of the sky, mountains waking up, and an incredible atmosphere.

We spread out our blankets, unpack our baskets, and begin the celebration. Local delights: fragrant cheeses, bread baked in a stone oven, farm butter, eggs from free-range hens, wild-berry jams, game pâté, homemade herb cheese, honey from Beskid apiaries… With it, hot coffee, mint and elderflower tea, maybe a splash of raspberry liqueur to warm you up. No rush—just eating with a view. Eating like people once did: together, mindfully, with deep respect for flavor.
