About the trip:
Imagine a warm afternoon in the heart of the mountains. Around you, greenery, birdsong, a gentle breeze—and that unique feeling that time has momentarily stopped. Right here, on the slope of one of the Beskid peaks, where valleys, forests, and summits unfold below us—we lay out our blankets and wicker baskets and begin a picnic straight out of a fairy tale.
This isn’t just a meal on the grass. It’s a celebration of mountain simplicity and local flavors born of passion and traditions passed down through generations.
What will we eat?
- Warm, fragrant sourdough bread fresh from the oven
- Slices of bundz and oscypek cheeses from highland shepherd huts
- Homemade pâtés—both game and vegetable spreads
- Marinated mushrooms, pickles, and peppers—just like grandma used to make
- Sweet treats: apple strudel, cheesecake, and crisp butter cookies
- Fresh fruits picked straight from the forest and nearby orchards
- To drink? Mint-and-honey lemonade, wild-rose tea—and for those who wish, a small glass of homemade liqueur.
Every product has its own story—crafted at local farms, unhurriedly, with heart. These are the tastes of childhood and nature, captured in simple yet exceptional dishes.
Our picnic unfolds in a scenic clearing—dense forest on one side, a sweeping panorama of the Beskids on the other. Soft grass beneath your feet, birdsong overhead, sunlight brushing your face. Lie back, read, chat—or simply be. No cell service. No schedule. No pressure.
A mountain picnic is more than food—it’s a return to simplicity, a way to taste life in harmony with nature’s rhythm. Try it once, and you’ll understand that less truly is more—especially at the summit.
