About the trip:
In the very heart of the Beskids—where the forest smells of resin and the paths are still soft with morning dew—an extraordinary journey begins: into nature, tradition, and your own senses. This isn’t an ordinary walk. It’s an encounter with knowledge passed down in whispers for centuries—from mother to daughter, grandma to granddaughter.
Accompanied by a truly experienced herbalist, we set off into the woods to learn how to identify and gather wild herbs—both the well-known and the long-forgotten varieties now once again spoken of with respect.
What to expect:
- You’ll learn to recognize medicinal and edible plants growing right beneath our feet: nettle, yarrow, St. John’s wort, mint, wild thyme, wild raspberry, and many more.
- You’ll hear stories of ancient customs, traditional herbal preparations, and how these plants heal both body and soul.
- You’ll discover how to harvest mindfully and respectfully—without harm, in harmony with nature’s rhythm.
And then… the fire:
On a forest clearing, amidst trees and birdsong, we’ll build a campfire. The herbalist will show you how to blend the herbs we’ve gathered into an exceptional tea. In an earthenware kettle, we’ll brew an infusion that not only delights the palate but also soothes, regenerates, and purifies.
Gathered around the fire, we’ll sit together—in silence, in conversation, perhaps with song or the soft notes of a wooden flute. This moment is more than tea. It’s a communion with nature—a ritual of everyday life that brings us back to what’s primal and true.
We return with baskets full of herbs—and, above all, with minds full of knowledge, hearts brimming with calm, and the scent of mint on our hands.
